SVJATA VATRA (Estonia / Ukraine)

In addition to concerts throughout Estonia, Svjata Vatra performed in France, Russia, Ukraine, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Romania, and the Netherlands.
The song "Kalina" was recognized as the best folk / worldmusic song of Estonia in 2009.
Svjata Vatra ("Holy Fire") is an Estonian-Ukrainian "fire-folk" group. Ruslan Trochinsky, the leader of the group, played in the Ukrainian folk rock group Gaydamaki from 1999 to 2004. In 2005, he founded the group Svjata Vatra with Estonian musicians. Ruslan combines his signature charismatic style of playing the trombone with rich vocals, and also uses scythe for rhythm.

Musicians play folk music based on traditional songs, nostalgic children's games and Baltic tunes, with a new attitude towards punk.
