THE SPIRIT OF TENGRI

KHOOMEI BEAT
(Republic of Tuva)

PRESENTS
Feeding on the roots of Tuvan folk, the musicians subtly mixed rock expression with the light-heartedness of jazz and pop music. With the help of this dizzying mix, musicians convey to the audience the history of their people, the traditions and customs of their ancestors, carefully preserved and preserved to this day.
KHOOMEI BEAT is a bright representative of a new generation of Tuvan musicians. Khoomei Beat group popularizes Tuvan throat singing in a different design. Now the rattling and rattling, then gently caressing sound of throat singing against the backdrop of igil, byzancha, drum, bass and keyboards is perceived by the listeners in a completely new way. And the sounds of the cello, like spicy seasoning, only add piquant sensitivity to the overall sound of the group.
The group draws inspiration from old archival records and contemporary music. At the same time, Tuvan folk music and throat singing remains the starting point, but does not limit musicians: remaining faithful to folk roots, musicians are open to various styles and new directions.
